Clearly I'm not the only person who thinks of this case from time to time. I remember being a freshmen in high school when one of my friends handed me a note saying that Tera was missing. I knew the family (though not super close to them), and my heart absolutely dropped.
I still think back to the dad on TV, many months later, saying that he knew his daughter was dead, and he knew who did it, and that he forgave the murderer anyway. That he wouldn't let his life be further ruined by trying to get revenge.
I've had several times in my life where something bad has happened to me, and I think, "if Tera's dad can forgive his daughter's murderer, I can forgive this person for doing much less to me."
