Digging In My New Rut

New world, new work, never bored

Months ago, when I was dealing with a boss who insisted I wasn’t working despite the evidence contrary, I wondered if I would work any less if I didn’t have a full time job to go to.

Now I know the answer. Absolutely not.

I get up, get the kids to school, walk the dog, write, prepare classes, pick up the kids, get everyone to their doctors appointments, marketing, tax returns, then crash sometime around midnight.

With the exception of a few particularly nasty busy seasons, I’m working harder than I ever have.

And yet it’s still better than working for that boss.
