For many reasons that I probably shouldn't babble on about too much (at least that's what my wife tells me when I bring it up at dinner), so much of our system has been set up to for employers to provide all these things. But we're very quickly moving away from the employer running everything.

The best suggestion politicians have to fix this so far? Force gig workers to be employees...

I don't know about you, but that totally defeats the purpose of me leaving my old job.
