Having so many benefits tied to the workplace makes zero sense to me. It's a remnant of the old days (WWII) where the government limited employee pay but not employee benefits. Then they sealed it by making those benefits tax deductible to employers but not employees.

Ug, so frustrating.

Anyway, totally agree with getting out of full time work. I'm in that process right now and hope it works *crosses fingers*
