If my history is right, I believe our K-12 education system is basically a continuation of Bismarck's system way back during the industrial revolution. Obviously we've made a lot of changes...but not nearly enough.

We teach our kids to sit and listen and follow, but we really should do a lot more get up and talk and lead.
