So is this passive aggressive or normal aggressive: I approach boss, frustrated that I can't seem to meet Direct Supervisor's expectations no matter what. I explain that I feel like I can't trust my own decisions anymore since I'm told everything I do is wrong according to DS .
(Side note: two other people had also quit under Direct Supervisor in the past 5 years or so after getting into yelling matches with DS, something I had come to understand)
Boss responds by telling me he reached out to a coworker and asked coworker how I was doing. "Coworker said you were doing great, but after pressing, she said you could probably be more confident in your decision making." Then told me to figure it out as if that somehow answered the question.
I think the irony ruffled boss's hair as it flew over his head.
