These are all good, but #6 is so important. A good boss leads rather than drives. If you're constantly harping on people, dragging them down, gossiping, making negative assumptions, nobody will want to follow you.

If, instead, you make people feel better than when they arrived, they're so much more likely to follow you through the good and the bad.
