This is great. The race metaphor is particularly apt because we often have this belief that there IS an end.

(school doesn't help, either, where we learn that we have a final then either win/lose depending on the grade)

In real life, we just keep running. There's no magical end goal where we "have arrived."

And doing laundry for a family of 4, more than anything, has taught me that!
