This is like the introvert/extrovert thing. Society likes to value the extrovert as "normal" and the introvert as the weird one. Turns out it takes all types.

I know there's times when I just want to be alone and process things for a bit. My wife is the opposite and will sometimes even get upset if I look for time by myself. Neither of us has to be doing it the "right" way (well, as long as we can figure out how to work it out, which for 15 years so far, we have)
